How often do you talk to your parents? Text them?

Do you also meet with them often? i.e. lunch? When I was in college my parents called me once a week, now, as afultd we still talk once a week.
With text do college kids, adults in general keep in contact more? |

I have a standing phone date with my parents on the weekend, which we've had since college, and then I call during my commute sometimes. They aren't near enough to visit easily.
I don't like to text with them because it's like getting haiku over text |

My father lives across the country so see him like 2-3 times a year when he comes out here. I went in May for the first time in years.
We talk maybe twice a month. I try not to text him because he'll try to have an entire conversation via text and I don't want to do that. So I'll just pass info along by text. When I was in college my mom and I talked twice a week. |

| My dad passed when I was 21, but he was the one I was closest to at the time. We were always calling, emailing, meeting for lunch once I was back in my home city after college. I am now in my early 40s but talk to my mom just about every day. We also text frequently. She comes and visits us 2-3x a month for a night or two - 2 hour drive each way - and we see her on a vacation or visit her about once every 2 months. |

| I text with my dad everyday. I honestly don't know what I will do when he passes. He is great man. He raised me and my brother while my mom was busy dating multiple men. My husband equally loves him as well and they text each other a lot. They are both economists and they never run out of things to talk about. |
