LOVE this store for kids clothes

Why is that most expensive, boutique children's clothing has weird prints, too many odd placed ruffles, and the clothing never seems all that appropriate? I can spot the stuff a mile a way ... its some garish at times..

They do have some very cute stuff though. My favorite children's clothier is www.papodanjo.com. Both companies hold trunk shows in DC, by the way.

Really??? Its your favorite??

Its plain, boring, and overpriced.

Seriously, this is just ugly: http://www.papodanjo.com/s.nl/it.A/id.130602/.f

totally agree - that is why I like the simple clothes from stores like this. sometimes I have the hardest time just finding something simple (even at places like Target, Gap, etc.).

thank again, OP, I just bought 6 things (mostly from the sale section) for ~$70!

sorry, what is a trunk show and when/where? thanks!

A trunk show is when a department store holds an "event" involving showing the new off the rack designer clothes to overweight, aging women who believe they are fahsionable while overly made-up saleswomen faun over them in the great hopes of sales yielding commissions. Its hysterical as these crazy women who attend act as if they are attending NY's fashion week. If you are sipping your champagne next to an escalator in Chevy Chase or Tysones while wearing your size 10-12 Armani or St John..you are not fashionable.

Signed Target loving momma who could afford to spend more but doesn't buy into the BS.

So unkindness is fine as long as you shop at Target. Well, pat yourself on the back you rich Target shopper you!

Wow. Expensive.

I'll stick with Target, Old Navy, Children's Place, Gymboree, as well as Gap when they have sales. They all have cute stuff that is affordable and can withstand being handed down to younger siblings or cousins.

Most of my kids clothes are hand me downs or from a thrift store. I have purchased really pretty clothes for $4.00 each. Cannot beat the price and the clothes I pick out are in good condition and no one would know that I got them at a thrift store. Shoes... I always buy new, Stride Rite, because I don't mess wtih feet.

I get your point but size 10-12 is overweight now? God help me.

Yes, if someone wears a 10-12 they are generally overweight (some exceptions always, of course).

Everyone has something they splurge on, to some it is cute children's clothing for others it is a fancy car.

I wonder if Ann Taylor will ever create a kids collection. Would love it!

It's impossible to say a 10-12 is overweight without knowing the person's height and weight.

And of course being overweight and stylish and mutually exclusive?

Let me guess, you're one of those lollipop women.

Size 10 is my goal. I'll be happy for the rest of my life if I ever get to size 10. And now you're saying I'll still be fat. Get real.

No, you grow up. The have already changed the sizes to make obese people feel better about themselves. They can't change the fact that a size 10 is generally obese.

The owner/designer is an American woman from Chicago. She often uses her own children in the shoots. She tries to give the impression that the whole thing is Portuguese. Her husband is Portuguese and the live in England.
It is WAAY overpriced, even for me, and I do shop at Olive Juice on occasion.

Maybe if you ate something you'd be less of a bitch. Size 10 is not obese. I hope you don't pass your size hang-ups on to your children.
