Galapagos is probably the top but also very expensive. In the alternative the Amazon eco lodges are amazing. We loved La Selva Lodge in Ecuador. Very reasonably priced wonderful naturalist led us through the forest day and night.

More info. This could be anything from Lake Placid, to the Lake District in the UK to the Wild Coast in South Africa to the Dolomites.

We also stayed at La Selva and had a fabulous time. We did the eco lodge after a week on a small boat touring the Galapagos Islands
