Looking for ideas for our family vacation next summer. Past locations that have worked well for us: Banff, Jasper, Iceland, Azores, Madeira, and the Faroe Islands.

Grand Teton and Yellowstone national park.

I second Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Amazing views, the highest concentration of geothermal features in the world, and crazy wildlife spotting. We were just there at the end of June and saw tons of wildflowers and baby animals.

If you don't mind driving, the national parks in Colorado and/or Utah are fabulous.
