DP. We also loved Oslo - the geography, the sights, and the people. |
NYC, Paris, Copenhagen, South Africa (long time ago), Kauai if you like surfing and hiking. |
Sorry, was offline for the past 24 hours. These are great!
I actually spun off this thread in response to the thread on “creepy” places people were warning each other away from. Bad energy, mojo, etc. So I guess by good energy, I don’t mean any one thing. Maybe you could feel a higher vibration. Or you were easily swept up in positivity when you visited. Or felt at peace. Or felt at home. Or felt welcome and joyful and light. Or like you found a little part of yourself there. Or something else! It’s a thread open to interpretation and I’ve enjoyed all the answers. I’ll add a few more of my own: Homer, Alaska (a quiet, grounding energy) Any of the great walks in New Zealand but especially the north island. (Powerful energy.) Volcanoes National Park (Goddess energy) |
I’ve never really considered Oslo but putting it in my radar! |
What did you like so much about Lisboa? |
Those quoting Oslo- have you been in winter? |
Tofino
Crested Butte Martha’s Vineyard Sicily Tel Aviv |
Amalfi Coast
San Diego Austin I am partial to coastal and warm places (yet live in Pittsburgh lol) |
Love Tofino. The Wick is my happy place. |
Stonetown is something else- the night market! the intricate doors! the rooftop restaurants! (I also loved the cheesy Freddie Mercury stuff.) |
Lisbon and Gent, Belgium! |
I am another poster who went to Lisbon. The people are so genuine and kind. They love children and will tie your child’s shoe or give them free food and cute Knick knacks. Same happened in Paris. It felt like a place where I should have been all my life. |
I'm a pp who said Oslo. I've been there in early March and late Sept |
This is such a DCUM thread. Oozing privilege and one upsmanship. |
Willemstad in Curaçao was pretty fun. Walkable, with lively music and fun things to do. There were restaurants where you could have a beautiful Camelot dinner right on the beach and outdoor dance parties. |
