They took 6 in one year so I think they should be proud. It will be ok.

That is a hard one and the aural is a killer. Congratulations!

I am glad my kid did well on her exams. She gets “academically bullied” by a girl in her friend group who is constantly stressed out about grades. My kid is smart, but likes to focus a lot on her social life and extra curriculars as well, so she can come off as being a little shallow, and not as focused on academics. We are celebrating over here.

Yikes, public school pressure is frightening. My private school kid didn't take an AP until junior year.

And yet…the poster “needed” to flex on an anonymous board which was not asking prior scores (or anyone’s actual score results) by telling others that her kid took AP Calc BC as a freshman.

Unsolicited bragging before 7 am. So these kids got up and told their parents - and the parent decided to immediately post on a DCUM thread asking about timing of release (not scores). Sad lives.

Ha ha - yes! The question was: what time are scores released. She answered the question she wished was asked when she said at 6:48 a.m. on the release day: "DC (rising junior) all 5s on Physics C (Mech), Macro, Micro, CSP and BC (from freshman year)."

It was invariable. Be happy it’s consolidated into one thread. And don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

You shared her scores on the internet before she even saw them? Rude.

Well, you don’t have any way of identifying her and let’s just say she’s not a big consumer of DCUM so I don’t think anyone is getting hurt but you. When she looked them up after her 6am practice, she was pumped, though. No need to despair on her behalf.

My kid nailed the Gov exam but got a 2 in Spanish. Wondering how much of this affects the fact that our school makes kids take AP Spanish as sophomores if they want to get the IB exam. And has a terrible Spanish teacher all kids suffer through as freshmen...anyone else's kid take the Spanish exam as a rising junior?

Is that after year 4 of Spanish or what year?

We just feel bad that her parent is so pathetic. I’m sure it shows up in lots of ways.

Ha! Same. Not before noon.

What school system has 9th graders taking AP US Govt? This is weird to me.

DP. I have a rising senior and a rising 9th grader and both are taking AP Gov next year. Different programs in the same public school system. The 9th grader will be in an IB program and that’s the norm there.

Same with that PP saying their kid’s school makes them take Span AP test soph year. I cannot see that happening unless it is a private immersion school. WIS possibly?

MCPS. Some take in 10th if they do Honors US in 9th (and no APUSH in HS) but many do AP Gov in 9th then APUSH in 10th. AP World is 11th.

Wow! Very different from most preferred/common track in fcps:
Soph: AP World
Jun: APUS
Sen: AP Gov
