Additionally, noticing similar drops in Oakton. I thought these were coveted areas?

Vienna kinda sucks. I have a HHI over 10mil and I never wanted to live there.

Ok?

I would always pick Great Falls>Mclean over Vienna ANY DAY.

Well, yeah ... GF and McLean are inside the beltway. Apples and oranges.

There are some nice house in Vienna.

It is not my cup of tea due to distance from DC but lots of people like that area.

That house in N Arlington or Bethesda and that lot would get 3m. Easy.

Out there that house is not good. 1.8m maybe.

I think it will sell in the $1.8M $1.9M range.

Somewhat similar. I love Vienna and it has everything going for it (actual Main Street, cute side streets, leafy, larger lots) - except the commute to DC. But I get the sense a ton of the people buying these houses there work in Tyson’s or elsewhere vs DC proper.

Yes, we live in Vienna and I work in the Dunn Loring area and my husband works in Herndon. He worked in Ballston for many years and took the metro then.

I feel similarly about Vienna and I’ve seen some unjustified hate of it on DCUM. I’ve been eyeing it for an eventual move out of the city, but my DH works here so that commute will rock our world. If he worked in Tyson’s or nearby we’d be there in a minute.

You seem confused. Half of McLean is inside the beltway. Half is outside.

All of Vienna and great falls are outside the beltway.

Google maps is your friend.
