Go to Trousseau in Vienna and get fit for some new bras to be sure you are still in the right size. |
They're called "balconette" cut bras. Try one! |
Unlikely. More probable: you're not actually a 34b, or you're wearing the wrong cut of bra. |
Yes. Properly-fitted undergarments provide lift, reshaping, padding, can adjust for asymmetries, can create cleavage... The problem is that most women are wearing the wrong size bra, and don't understand what cup shape and cut do in terms of lift. |
This is partially correct. Yes, you need a properly fitted band, and it does provide a good bit of the support. That said, cup construction is what's actually going to provide the lift you're looking for. A properly-fitted band with a poorly-fitted cup will provide support and some wrangling, but no real lift to speak of. |
I was going to say the same. A b cup is t going to be heavy. Sorry. |
Ma'am, with respect, I sew for a living, and you can't get a surgeon to do what I can do. Natural looking lift is 100% possible, but you're not likely to be able to just pluck it off a rack at Target, even if you know the correct size (and most women don't). -36H, 4 pregnancies, killer rack |
Again, incorrect. A longline balconette-style bra will lift a potato sack. ![]() |
Skims. Seriously. Kim Kardashian is a little annoying, but the bras are very good |

Fittings should be free, but the expectation is that you'll buy a quality bra or two, and yes, you should expect to pay for quality pieces. Still, it's $160-$200 well-spent, as you should then have a better idea of not only your size/sister sizes, but what cuts help you achieve the look(s) you're going for. |
I have narrow shoulders so balconette bras never work for me -- the straps are placed too wide apart. |
+1. I'm a 32 H and without a super strong band and cups the weight would be impossible to lift. My poor bra has to keep 10 pounds up all day long. |
Try a demi-cup bra in a cross- or racer-back style. |
You can also look for balconette bras with the strap attached closer to the back clasps, or even remove and reattach the straps at the back to be set in closer to the eyehooks. This bra has the straps set-in closer on the back (just as a visual example): https://www.lanebryant.com/lace-criss-cross-detail-longline-balconette-bra/prd-378718.html |
