I am now 8 year post childbirth of my last - 5 kids, total of 5 years of breastfeeding. I am thinking it's not going to get better and was seriously considering exploring a breastlift. Now I understand there are magical bras that can make your boobs like you had a breastlift except when you are naked? I am more disturbed about how I look in clothes, not naked, so if that is true & I just need a new bra, tell me where I can find it! |
PS- I am big. It used to be hot - I didn't think so particularly at the time, but I see pictures and it was. But now it's just very matronly. |
A good push-up bra will do that, but you have to make sure the fit is correct. Use this guide to measure yourself. I was wearing the wrong size for years, and it made a huge difference when I finally got the sizing right. |

I mean - is this really a thing that is as good as surgery (when wearing your clothes?!) |
Sadly a bra is never going to make it look like you had a breast lift. I've spent so much money trying....
I will probably just get the damn breast lift in a couple years. |
The band is the most important part. That’s where the most support comes from. |
I got the breast lift, and now my girls are SITTIN' and I love it. |
The people on that thread are rapidly anti surgery and also full of shit. No bra will compare to a lift. A good bra is essential and can help hide the issue (when clothed) but it's not the same. If youre large chested, 8 years out done with kids and ita financially reasonable for you to do, get the surgery if you want, you sound like an ideal candidate. |
It's not just breastfeeding and pregnancies, OP, but simply age. Skin sags. At a certain point, there is no garment that can compensate. |
It actually is medical fact that wearing a bra will cause your breasts to sag more as you age. |
Had to get a lift recently (not for cosmetic reasons, but in preparation for a prophylactic mastectomy —would’ve been too saggy otherwise to keep my nipples) and I gotta say, it is an easy procedure and recovery so far. I’ve never had plastic surgery before and I was honestly dreading it but if they’re all this easy, I may throw in for a facelift and maybe some lipo!
(Of course, they’re not all this easy. But I did want to tell you, OP, that if you’re self conscious about sag, the lift is outpatient and I barely even needed Tylenol afterward, the pain was so minimal). |
What is the ideal breast size? I'm a small 34d |
No way |
It is all dependent on your body type, style etc. A D cup would feel small to me, I have had huge boobs my entire life. |
