With massive ICE sweeps nationwide, why don't we hear of arrests or fining of the business owners?

^ Out of the 211,000 people arrested and detained by ICE this kind of random handful of people is all they have to show for their "going after violent criminals."

I make new hires fill out an I-9 form and use eVerify. New hires either have to show me a US Passport or US driver's license and social security card.

If I'm following the correct steps and undocumented workers are giving me fake papers, how should I know since they look like mine and feel like mine.

I mean, it seems to me that the big gap in the system is the I9 form being accepted and the eVerify system. If those are the 2 government systems in place to keep undocumented from working and neither returns a "do not hire" or "undocumented" then what more can I do?

Well, you can't start by not voting from the candidate who campaigned on the slogan "Mass Deportations Now" because if you thought that wasn't going to touch YOUR workforce you are either (a) stupid; (b) have your head in the sand; or (c) both.
ow it.

Nonsense. Of course it’s in the best interest for a law abiding employer to vote for the presidential candidate who won’t tolerate his competitors who undercut his profit margin by hiring illegals.

Just admit you think it’s ok to have underpaid illegal labor, people without access to benefits and market level pay, so you can have cheaper asparagus or massages or lawn care.

What an immoral argument.

Laws matter.

This should be shifted and no-match letters should be sent telling them not to hire until their data is corrected.

I have no scaffolding for this information. Can you explain more? This sounds really interesting.

It seems my knowledge is out of date. I remember a judge blocking Bush from implementing what I suggested.
