Are we still doing goodie bags? If so, what goes inside?

The treat is whatever the hosts want it to be. If they want to give out goodie bags, be a kind guest and take it with a smile.

For 10 kids, it should cost $100 or less, especially you get the chips/candy and drink at Dollar Tree

Why does a 10 year old need a gift to take home from a party??

They don't need to, but it's a fun way of saying thank you and recognizing a friendship. Is it extra on top of the party? Sure. Is it a terrible thing? No. And I totally agree that chips and a $5 donut gift card would be appreciated. My kids would love it.

Not a fan of the $5 donut gift card to a donut place I don't regularly visit. Worse than trinkets I can throw out five minutes after the party ends, i.e. as soon as my kids tire of them.

Op-- keep it cheap and don't spend too much time thinking about this imo. Fill the bag with something your kid likes and you guess others might too. Nothing is going to be universally well recieved, and that's ok! Some kids will and that's good enough.

A nice cookie from local bakery or something else edible

It’s not the guest’s birthday. They get cake and a party. That should be enough.

Your presence is your present💕 says the host.

Thank goodness there is no goodie bag! says the mum who is thrilled her kid had somewhere fun to go for two hours and came home empty handed.

I'd prefer to not spend $$$ on this, but I also don't want to give a bag of junk. Ideas?
Thanks!

Goofy bags are cheap crap. Children need to learn that ONLY the birthday child received gifts. I never gave them
