If you are going to post lies, at least have the courtesy to lost links to statistics that show what you are lying about is true. Don't have any statistics, legitimate ones, that is? Then STFU. |
Since the vast majority of pregnancies requiring maternity and obstetric care involve male participation, that seems at least as fair as having women pay for insurance that subsidizes gunshot wounds and other results of impulsive behavior. Would you feel better, PP, if, instead, single men were neutered — and, in return, had lower insurance rates? |
Single women pay for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and general male stupidty (pplaying paintball, with chainsaws, pretending to be woodworkers and sawing a finger off). |
Well who do you think fathered some of these children. . . SINGLE MEN |
Would you prefer hospitals and doctors require deposits before treatment? Boke your leg, that's 15k or leave. Cancer diagnosis? 250 cash, otherwise hit the road jack. |
Good idea. If you have a vasectomy + confirm you are shooting blanks you no longer have to pay for premiums to cover maternity care. Of course, post-menopausal women also should get the same decrease right? |
Everyone conveniently ignores this. |
it was increasing like that before the ACA. |
Ok, let’s see if our healthcare costs go down even a penny after a few more years of ICE roundups. |
No, see, that's just "medical care," because men are the default. Women's health care? That's for girls. /s |
I was born in 1980 and my dad was laid off a couple times in my childhood. 18 months of cobra was still an option then. You had to pay for it though. Also, I was able to stay on my parents insurance until I think 26? I didn’t take insurance at my first post college job because my parents were still paying for “family” insurance for my younger siblings so it cost them nothing extra to keep me. And I didn’t have to pay the premium at work. |
Statistics are not gospel. I really wish people understood this. Instead many treat it as the end all be all. It is a tool that only as good as the user behind it. And can hide or illuminate patterns depending on the parameters that is selected. You can lie with them. Easily since so many have blind faith in statistics. Btw you also have wealthy people from foreign lands that hide their assets so they can use the US Medicaid and welfare system. |
But you’re ok with Trump grifting left & right and creating a pay to play White House? You need a moral center. |
A growing number of states are opening taxpayer-funded health insurance programs to immigrants, including those living in the U.S. without authorization, even as Republicans assail President Joe Biden over a dramatic increase in illegal crossings of the southern border. Eleven states and Washington, D.C., together provide full health insurance coverage to more than 1 million low-income immigrants regardless of their legal status, according to state data compiled by KFF Health News. Most aren't authorized to live in the U.S., state officials say. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2023/12/29/1221780712/more-states-extend-health-coverage-to-immigrants-even-as-issue-inflames-gop Under the federal Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act (EMTALA), hospitals that have emergency departments and participate in Medicare — about 98% of hospitals in the United States — must provide emergency care to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. So illegal immigrants go to ER departments and receive medical care. They aren’t insured and can’t pay. Do you have legitimate stats showing illegal immigrants don’t use ER departments? |
My moral center is intact. Illegal immigrants don’t pay. Insured Americans pay for themselves and the healthcare of everyone else. |
