Somehow Obama managed to deport 5.3 million migrants during his eight years in office and Biden deported 4.6 million, both without creating the chaos that the Trump admin has created in just a few months. migrants have been deported under every administration. Why is this one so incompetent? |

ICE/DHS/Stephen Miller have been creating chaos since the first day. Let's start with the LEGAL Venezuelans immigrants, accused of no crimes, that they sent to a concentration camp in El Salvador. They have broken the law. Defied judges. Defiled the Constitution. Violated all sorts of international laws with regard to human rights. WHY? Because thet want to create terror among immigrants, among foreignors, and among Americans. They want to eradicate dissent. Bring back every single one of those innocent and legal immigrants who were awaiting asylum. Then we can discuss the rest of the mess this administration has made. There is no point talking about any illegal immigrants until you fix what you have done to the LEGAL immigrants. Why would we listen to anything you say? |

It won't be tolerated. Trump (and unappointed Stephen Miller) do not have the support of Congress or of the people. They cannot violate the law with impunity, which is why there have already been 300 lawsuits against the government.. |

Yep. I’ve lived in a dictatorship that began with a declaration of martial law, and what’s going on here is feeling eerily familiar. The pretext to seize power is often “lawlessness” or some kind of fabricated “national emergency.” |

A dictatorship won't fly here. There's just no culture of cowed obedience, among the civil service or the general public. The country is too big, the courts too powerful, and the people too free, for a dictatorship to work. |

The Supreme Court doesn’t seem to be helping out much. They seem to be actively overriding very reasonable preliminary injunctions and TROs about the limits of government power by lower courts. |

They absolutely have the support of Congress. Not one GOP has said anything. They pushed through every nomination. They are trying to pass the destructive OBBB. They said boo about taxes, the corruption, the insider trading, the pardoning of 1/6 — they’ve been silent for 4 months. (Okay, a few have made weak @ss sauce statements.) This is unreal that anyone could think, let alone say this. |
