This statement would be hilarious if things weren’t so dangerous. They claimed demonstrators “remained peaceful.” Either totally clueless or deliberately lying. I believe it’s the latter. The police chief issued a statement earlier that they would not help federal agents enforce the law. That was a signal to all thugs that they were free to riot and destroy property with no fear of arrest. It won’t be a good look for the police chief when someone gets killed.

The protestors are unarmed and hold signs- perfectly legal. It is ICE that escalated in a totally calculated manner at the orders of the White House to justify the calling of the national guard- which under law, is the governors job, not the presidents.

If these people are too stupid to avoid being goaded into committing crimes, then they deserve jail.
