Some people spend tons of money on the elec bill apparently. Overhead someone saying they kept their place at 70F and their electric bill was around $500 in the summer! ![]() |
Ours is also set to 68. Hormones in peri are not to be messed with. |
We set ours to between 71 and 73 and also have an electric car, and our electric bill is about $75 or $100 during the summer. Solar panels FTW. |
Some of these responses are wild. I freeze when it’s below 75 during the day. At night I like 70-72. |
Ours went on long ago. April probably. 71 day/68 night. |
WE don't have it on yet. Probably would have had the rain not colled thigs down Friday evening. |
I find it strange that new houses are not built for having windows open. |
I barely tolerate 75 outdoors. Summer is miserable around here before factoring in humidity. You house must be a swamp unless you run a dehumidifier which probably makes up for the A/C Savings a bit. |
Living without AC is way worse than setting the world on fire. The MO of a total liar |
It never turns off. Just runs at different numbers. I like a cold house. 68 at night. 71 in the day. |
Are you my 85 year old grandma? |
No. We live in Europe and our gas does not have it. |
Currently ac off. Thermostat Shows 76. Winter usually 74 |
Why? Mines 68 right now 62 at night. OP it's been on for months. |
Ours is OUT. The repair guy is here, but is non-commital. DH is from Louisiana and is fine. I am melting because I have dysautonomia. So I’m preparing to go to DD’s until my home is 72 again. |
