We cracked yesterday afternoon--our upper floor was too hot for sleeping. It's still on. YOu? |
Yes! |
Yes it was 90 out today! |
I never understand this “cracked” crap. Do you think you are so big and tough when you “resist” A/C, and that you will have our eternal adoration? The heroic-but-sweaty OP? It’s hot. Turn on the A/C. That’s what it’s for. |
Yes, some of us are in raging teen hormones and raging peri hormones. The husband is cold but has been outvoted. |
It's about the electric bill. OP. |
Ours is set automatically - AC on at 74 and heat on at 68 inside. The AC has been on periodically for weeks. I work from home and on video all the time so need to be comfortable in decently professional clothes. |
We prefer to keep our windows open so we “resist” putting the AC on too, but we also fired it up on Wednesday. Thankfully, it worked (old house)! |
LOL AC has been on for over a month already…can’t sleep unless it’s 70 or below |
In solidarity for those without AC, we should stop using AC. Live more simply, so others can simply live. |
74 AC? Your house must be unbearable. |
Then reach out to your elected officials and tell them to stop voting to allow all these fees, like the EmPOWER surcharge, to our bills. |
Np. What's wrong with 74? Our daytime is set to 74-76, night is 72 (for AC) Heat is 64. Haven't needed to use heat since maybe the first week of March. |
1st floor AC is set to 74. Winter is set to 71
2nd floor AC is set to 72. Winter is set to 68. I would much rather be too warm than too cold. Where possible in the mornings I open the windows until the temps climb into the 70s to get fresh air in the house. I also WFH and can't be a sweaty mess all day. |
You bet. |
