Came here to say this as well. |
Non conventional medicines and therapies have helped a lot of people 🤷‍♀️ This is a link to my friend's page. He sells a lot of plant medicines and does 15 min consultations to help people find what they need. I know for a fact dozens of people say the medicines he recommends (I'm talking mushrooms specifically) helped them overcome years of drug-resistant depression. If all of the typical things haven't helped your daughter, encourage her to check this guy out. He's not in it for the money. He really wants to help people. https://linktr.ee/based_in_the_plants |
| Have you looked into ECT (electroconvulsive therapy)? |

| I don’t have any real answers OP, but my brother who is now in his 50s has been chronically suicidal for 25+ years and I know how hard it can be for family members to try to support someone struggling like this. In our case, my brother refuses to get the help he needs so hopefully, your daughter will be open to trying different approaches until she can find what works. Please be sure not to feel too much guilt over this, OP. It has taken an enormous toll on my parents and at some point, you have to accept that she is an adult who has to make her own choices as hard as that may be. Wishing you and your daughter all the best. |

Is it possible for her to temporarily move in with you? She'll have support and saved rent can be used to give her tools in addition to individual and family therapy, like yoga, makeover, music lessons, gym membership etc., whatever gives her more exposure to people.
Being 28 and not having friends, relatives or a significant other can push a depressed person towards suicidal ideation. |
NO. That temporary will turn into permanent, and they'll never make any effort. And then OP will turn into all those elderly folks who can't sell their homes to go into assisted living because their adult child in their home would have nowhere to go if they did. They end up dying in squalor because their child can't help them enough, despite living in the same space. OP, your child need to stay independent as much as she possibly can. |
You do have a point. May be in same area for added support? |
See you next Tuesday. You are an awful person. |

What type of medicine is she on, for anxiety, depression, adhd??
What therapeutic modality does her therapist use? Does she talk about what she and her therapist are working on in therapy? |
I mean, at least the kid might still be alive. |
This. They can tune her meds to her genetic make up and set up routines that stabilize life a bit so less overwhelming And for what it’s worth, I’ve had friends that needed several rounds of ketamine therapy over the course of a few years plus EDMR to start budging the depression. |
I know everyone keeps saying that, but there might be truth to it. It’s at least something to consider. |
