Which people? |
The only people doing that are the halfwitted maga gumps, who seem to think that the only way that non whites get jobs is through DEI. So, they’ve formed their own DEI for mediocre maga white guys, like Hegseth. No one has implied that all of the military is racist. That would be stupid (see the posts above lol) and only comes from certain MAGAs posters. Of course, none of that precludes the existence of a white nationalist movement in the military. It’s not whether it exists, it’s about how bad it is. |
It’s hasn’t, it sounds like your social circle has just gotten worse. Of course everyone makes fun of the Gadsden flag. A bunch of pretend tough guys went on and on about how they were going to fight for rights but instead they’ve all put on a gimp mask and beg to be pegged by the government. Every time I see one I laugh my ass off. |
White progressives. Specifically, female white progressives, when it comes to military issues. They generally have little to no exposure to the military so they have no clue how moronic they sound given the actual demographics of the military, especially at the higher ranks. |
We really need to ban Fox News. Their brainwashing has done more damage to this country than any other since entity. |
Ma'am, I didn't say anything about Fox News. You really need to turn that garbage off and try to focus on what's actually being said. Since you seem to have a weird fixation on Fox News, I will clarify for you that I don't watch it and cant engage about it in any informed way. |
White female democrats are IN the military. And married to people on the military. WHY do you people always forget that the military is diverse in every way??? |
I’m married to a combat vet, disabled career military guy, wise guy. I’ve given up years of my life, a career, my children’s stability, and lots of money so my husband could serve this country. A country that has now embraced the fascism we used to fight. What a waste. I am not obligated to share 15 years of reading that I’ve done on the subject or share every story about my lived experiences on military bases. Educate yourself. This is not a dissertation. |
NP. You know you are unserious PP. this has been reported on for years. https://www.cfr.org/blog/violent-far-right-terrorist-threat-us-military https://www.usni.org/magazines/proceedings/2020/november/confronting-us-militarys-white-nationalist-problem https://rollcall.com/2021/02/16/pentagon-report-reveals-inroads-white-supremacists-have-made-in-military/ https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2020/02/06/signs-of-white-supremacy-extremism-up-again-in-poll-of-active-duty-troops/ |
What are you going to do with all those progressives, Democrats, and moderates who lean left who are uniformed members of the six branches of our armed forces |
+1 The people who accuse posters of not understanding the military are the posters who have no clue how many democrats, women, immigrants, and people of color are IN uniform. They out themselves as weekend cosplay tactical gear wannabes. |
I'm not talking about those people. I'm talking about white female progressives who talk about the military as though it is Balkanized like San Quinton. It was literally the first institution we integrated as a nation. And military members introduced the concept of interracial marriages into the mainstream, because for a long time, the military far outpaced the general population with mixed race marriages, children, etc. Then you get these progressive white ladies, usually teacher types who live in places like Takoma Park and don't know anyone in the military. And since they hate America and see it as a racist nation, they decide against all evidence that the military is more racist than the general population. Even the article linked on the OP concludes by saying that there is no evidence that military members have higher rates of white nationalism. So yes, you guys can find examples of it. I can come up with anecdotes too. Know what the data actually shows? The most virulent and organized white nationalism movements are in places like Oregon and Washington. So go tell the ugly, blue haired, pretending-to-need-a-cane-but-actually-needs-acne-cream losers in Portland to stop racisting on everyone. |
Was a female in uniform but still able to notice that white female progressives make up crap about the military to suit their prejudices. |
I'm sure you're a hit at parties when you're talking about the "rise of white nationalism in the military" to what you admit is a very diverse crowd. While I don't have "lived experiences" on military bases because I don't know what that phrase means, I lived on military bases and don't see servicemembers as any more likely than anyone else to be racist. Whatever issues you have with your husband, I suggest you sort it out instead of hectoring his buddies (who are no doubt from various races and backgrounds) and their families (who are more likely to be interracial than your book club friends) with your "concerns" about their exploding rates of "white nationalism." |
If anyone was doubting it, Trump just announced that he is restoring the name Fort Robert E Loser…er. Lee. |
