Thanks to the internet we can see that authoritarians can actually get things done, while in democracies every election, every budget cycle, every little thing becomes an existential crisis.

China gets high-speed rail and we get to see Union Station turn into a homeless shelter. Until democracies start delivering again, you're going to have people checking out other people's grass.

Have you ever been to an authoritarian country?? Trust me, the grass is green 1 inch down. Everything else is HELL. It’s scary that 35% of America is too dumb to understand that. But, they love a good TV President so what should we expect?

I think most Americans are complacent more than anything. People Turn on the news a couple of times before the presidential election and check out for four years. Look, if you’re MAGA and connected you’re set. So the smart play is to be MAGA and connected. Short of that, be MAGA and hope you hit it off with a MAGA celebrity at some event so you yourself can added “connected” to your MAGA status. The easiest way to do this obviously is to give or otherwise somehow make money to Trump, or perhaps Vance given that they’ll probably take Trump out fairly soon.

But if you don’t watch what you say and do and you go off opposing the administration, you only have yourself to blame for any bad stuff that happens to you. If you’re brown, enjoy your flight to CECOT. If you work for Democrat officials, don’t be surprised if you get arrested at your campaign event. If you’re a judge and rule against Trump, expect to see the Proud Boys show up at your daughter’s destination wedding while the U.S. Marshals rush off to protect your empty home 5,000 miles away.

Trying to be anything but MAGA and living your life in America is more and more going to be like trying to sprint a 100 yards through a tar pit. Yeah, maybe you can do it, but WHY????????? Why make your life, and more importantly your kids’ lives just miserable? Why go through life looking over your shoulder and around the corner for Trump
loyalists armed to the teeth ready to take you down.

Since you're making these big sweeping statements, let's discuss what is that democracy you're talking about. Because we aren't really living in democracy, there's no real separation of church and state, we are ruled by a bunch of oligarchs buying up politicians. Yes this "democracy" isn't delivering because it is the main cause of those homeless camps. Instead of addressing the real issue of money in politics and institutionalized corruption your solution is to surrender completely all the freedoms you might still have because of, you know, homeless camps.
