That wouldn’t be profitable.

Yep. Life expectancy is up since statins were introduced in the 80s. Thank god.

We have the worst heart disease in the world. Why? Pharma profits.

I didn’t realize this was still a thing.

Physicians don’t get a cut of prescription costs. That’s crazy.

Which also coincided with a drop in smoking. Not saying that statins aren’t helpful but the impact of statins alone isn’t huge

Bolded are usually good.

It's the Big Pharma stuff like SSRIs-antidepressants that are the bad stuff. They are the #1 prescribed prescription drug in the world now also.

There are many ways doctors benefit by prescribing certain medications. To say otherwise is beyond ignorance, it is deliberate misinformation.

Omg guys then don’t take western medicine. It’s fine. No one cares. Also please don’t clog up the ER with your heart attack demanding western medicine to treat it. Pick a lane.

Ever think about what that term really means? It's like "bro, I checked out your article and I approve it, will you approve my article now bro!?"

"You scratch my back and I will scratch yours." - peer reviewed.

That's where the money is.
Healthy people = little money.
Dead people = little money.
Sickly weak people = Jackpot!

So what do you all take on this thread?

I'm 50 and I don't take anything. Not even vitamins. I follow my doctor's advice but I don't have anything prescribed.

+1. I don’t need to take anything.

50 is really young. You shouldn’t be taking anything at that age.

DP but age has nothing to do with it. Activity level and individual needs are what determines whether supplementation is needed. Medications are best avoided except for last resorts.
