Are we over medicated as a nation? Do you feel like we'll be better off creating a culture where prescriptions, over the counter medicines and "supplements" aren't the first line of defense? |
*Obviously we aren't discussing life saving medicines here. |
Yes totally |
Yes, our doctors jump to medication without trying to figure out the root cause of the problem or lifestyle changes that can manage the condition. |
I agree with this. Our health care system is such a mess. |
F YES!!! I'd be on 20+ medications if I listened to the doctors. |
I would normally say yes, but listening to RFK Jr. makes me want to take every pill Big Pharma wants me to buy. |
Yes. How often do any of you go to the doctor and not leave with a prescription or a referral to a specialist who then writes you a prescription? |

Probably, but you'll have to take my GLP1s out of my dead thin hands. No amount of "willpower" can fix metabolic issues. I'm sure some people feel the same way about anti-depressants. |
Why are you asking DCUM? I’m sure there are peer-reviewed journal articles on this topic. Why not read expert findings based on research? |
Heck yes! It's totally ridiculous. They also have legal "drug pushers" called pharmaceutical sales reps that go to doctors offices with $500 worth of food for lunch aka bribes to prescribe their medications. They make a ton of money too. It's all a scam.

LOL, this post sounds like someone who needs direction on a research paper for class. |
When we were in France on vacations, I was amazed at how many different potions our kids were given for ear infections or upper respiratory issues.
Here they were typically given one medication. |
Yes, a pill-poppin society for decades. When you go to a new doctor and the nurse asks, what pills do you take? If you answer ‘none’, she will fall of her chair. It’s so rare. |
