Taiwan is doomed. China will not be rational. For much of history they have been tormented. The hate for the west is very deep. This is about nationalism not money |
An invasion of an island nation would just be brutal. Air and sea would just be too many loses, and maybe not even possible. China would need to completely flatten Taiwan through missiles (they would receive many back as well). Then what do they gain? Taiwan would be nothing left but ruins and there would be huge loses in China as well. |
Taiwan has strategic value as a critical piece of the first island chain. It hems in China’s naval and air power projection into the Pacific. |
China only needs to form a blockade and wait for Taiwan to surrender. The world will watch and do nothing. It will be sad and devastating for everyone except the CCP. China will then make its way south to Australia. It has already measured the room down under and ordered curtains. |
China learned from Russia’s mistake. What should have taken a week will never actually occur. Two paper tigers. Feared for no reason at all. |
If you consume Chinese media, you betcha. |
But it didn't work. They just took the money and did nothing. Trumps tariffs has plants being fast tracked and bought with their own money. Plus steel, energy, cars, ships, drugs. Cannot be dependent on global supply chain for critical products. Dems were too stupid in areas of USA strength. |
China will take it without a war.
They'll pack their elected offices with mote and more PRC sympathetic candidates. Like our government. |
Taiwan will blow up the factories if that happens. |
Mmm. China, the most successful and populous country of the past 50-100 years, is "not rational" |
Do you actually believe this? I'm dying 😆😆😆🫢🫢🫢 "US statistics show a stunning 15-fold increase in construction of manufacturing facilities for computing and electronics devices. Debate about the Chips Act has focused on delays and manufacturing difficulties, but the vast volume of investment tells a different story." https://www.aei.org/op-eds/the-chips-act-has-been-surprisingly-successful-so-far/ And absolutely no company is really fast tracking any manufacturing here because of tariffs. None of it can be fast tracked, even the very little that's being planned |
China will control Taiwan by 2027 and the island chain down to Australia by 2030. Australia will officially be part of China by 2035. |
Australia can join NATO. |
‘Cause it’s a Commonwealth country or because it is so close to the North Atlantic? ![]() |
There was no Democratic Presidential candidate spreading fake news that China interfered on behalf of Trump, so Democrats will not be eager to defend Taiwan. |
