Trump is just as unpopular as Biden was and as unpopular as he was in 2020 when he lost to his unpopular predecessor. Trump and Biden were able to win the POTUS election in 2024 and 2020 because of the failures of the sitting presidents at the time they won. Trump earned his 2016 victory but otherwise he lost to a very weak opponent in 2020 and won in 2024 thanks to Biden's historic incumbent campaign failure.
