In other words, will the GOP keep Trump in office like they did with Reagan and the Dems did with Biden and Woodrow Wilson? |
Gravy train ends when Trump leaves. I think they will continue to prop him up as long as they can. Cults die when the leaders die. Everyone hates Vance. |
I don’t think Americans will tolerate back-to-back Presidents with obvious senior moments. I say Trump barely hangs on to WH up until midterms if economy is tanking. If it stabilizes or takes off by then, the GOP will continue to prop him up leaving Vance to wilt on the vine. |
Thread sponsored by the same posters who guaranteed that Trump would not show up to the debate. |
How will they force Trump to leave before the end of his term? I don’t see that happening, sadly. |
So you think keeping Biden in office while mentally impaired was also a good idea? |
You really think this is where Republicans will draw the line when it comes to Trump? Come on now. |
You must have short term memory loss or be blocking stuff out. Biden didn’t leave office when he became physically and mentally impaired, he finished his term. He had to be forced to end his campaign for the next election. Forced. He and his family fought tooth and nail and claw to keep him in the running. The democrats have a very high level of denial concerning Biden. The debate was a disaster for Biden and democrats. In real time they were panicking. But a few hours later, the excuses began. He had a cold, he was jet lagged, he was tired. Democrats think they control every situation and narrative just by posting some nonsense. It’s part of the reason Trump has won twice/three times. |
By the 2028 election, voting rights and election security will be so damaged any GOP candidate will win. Look at what GOP is doing in states.
We’ll still have elections, but GOP will win and pundits will claim it’s because country moving to the right when it’s really voter suppression and hanky panky. Oh, and Democratic consultants will keep pushing status quo (weak, corporate funded sloths and the gerontocracy) which will demoralize the Dm base. Look at what Pelosi did with Connelly. Anything but lift up fresh voices and make any changes. |
of course democrats always win… it’s just the stupid voters or stolen elections that take the win away! Denial, denial, denial. |
How cute. An election denier. |
Likely. Trump, at some point, is going to become more trouble than he’s worth. I also think that Trump can be convinced to resign for “health” reasons so that Vance can both have the advantage of being a seated president while also being able to issue a lot of blanket pardons, including to Trump. I think for this move they want the appearance of proprietary, so it will be whatever portion of a term that a candidate can legally serve in addition to the two elected terms. Vance, though, is not well liked, so his presidency will come with vulnerabilities. The hand-off could be sooner rather than late though, if Trump continues to deteriorate, and other candidates jostle for positions of their own. I can see a strong candidate for VP under Vance being positioned for office instead of Vance as an option too. |
Vance will never be president unless something happens to Trump. That's the only way. |
These kind of posts are so stupid and boring. You know what the American people are thinking at scale and are speaking on their behalf? Why do you think anybody would take you seriously? |
There is no way Trump will willingly give up power. He's a very old man so he doesn't need Vance to pardon him. And Republicans won't take it from him given the mindless fervor of his cult. Conservatives/GOP will continue, but this particular cult permanently ends in 44 short months. |
