Sounds not smart. Just have a glass of wine and nap. |
Actually what it lets us know is that the author is an officious twit. |
I took a Xanax for my 14 hr flight to Dubai
It took a couple of hours to fall asleep. I think I slept five or six hours woke up and still had 6 hours to go. |
Who are all these people who can sleep on planes? I can’t, no matter what I do or take: |
I agree with the author. I had a DVT. My doctor would have a fit if I sat down for 6-8 hours. |
Does everyone worried about DVT wear compression stockings? I have bad veins, so I do. |
Just did the flight last month. We left at 10 pm. Food service, then slept. Woke up. Watched a lot of movies ( Conclave, before the Pope passed) and shows.
It was doable without meds. We survived and loved Sydney |
Right? I can’t either. |
I couldn’t until I used a sleep aid. Then, I actually slept. I only use them for overnight flights and it has been a game changer. My jet lag is considerably diminished. Going to Europe, I try to get the 10-11 pm flights. I eat before I get on the plane and get ready to sleep immediately- I skip any drinks or food. I use an infinity pillow, ear plugs, eye cover, blanket. I use the foot rests and put the seat completely back as soon as we are in the air. As a result, I usually get 4-5 hours and that is enough to get me through the first day. |
Yes, it's far more pleasant that way. |
Yeah. My Ex did that when we flew to the South Pacific. We were in our 20s. We got off the flight and she complained about calf pain. Got back home, it worsened and was found to be DVT. You really need to move around a bit on long flights |
DP—2 drinks would put me out You must have a high tolerance for drugs and alcohol. |
Everyone is different, that’s why preachy posts like the one responded to are so pointless. |
couple? |
I absolutely take a xanax for overnight flights. It is absolutely wonderful. |
