Rec to travel at u12

Anonymous
My DC did not make to U11 at loudoun last year, very disappointed but spent following fall with rec and all star then moved to other club travel team for this spring season. We did tryout again for loudoun u12 next season and got an offer this time. There are ways to get in. Keep trying if that your child wanted. Good luck.

What league does she play rec in? They likely have a travel team.

Loudoun has their own rec league

My daughter didn't even make the lowest team at Loudoun which seems pretty bad after watching trials. After talking to a few other parents, it seems to be the case that we never took our child out to trial for All Stars and that was why she wasn't even looked at. Where do we go from here? I'm pretty jaded by how biased and pre-placed loudoun travel seems to be at this point. Where can I take my kid? She has outgrown rec but we obviously are not in the loop as far as where and when to go for other club tryouts. Any help you can be is greatly appreciated. We aren't looking to have her placed on a top team anywhere. I just know that my child is the best on her current team and shouldn't be playing rec anymore.

I didn't read any of the other responses so apologies if this is repetitive. Get her on the best team you can within a reasonable distance. Have her train consistently on her own (help her with a training program). Rinse and repeat.

She is young, you have time. Just make sure she is training, idealy without too much pusing from you.
