Apart from being a loud boor on the take from Comstock, Pekarsky has a low IQ, was completely ineffective as a school board member, and has done little of note in the state legislature.

James Walkinshaw is a much better candidate. He was the former Chief of Staff to Connolly and got Connolly's endorsement when Gerry announced he was stepping down. He supports Democratic values, but doesn't treat support for labor as an excuse to haul in money from casino operators who want to encourage gambling, bring drugs and crime into a part of NoVa where they don't even live.

+1 on Pekarsky. Between the casino, ripping away the hybrid option as a school board member at the 11th hour, and keeping FCPS closed for my kid for more than a year, I will never vote for her for anything. Ever. If she wins the nomination, I’ll vote for whomever the GOP runs.

If you don’t want Walkinshaw who seems clearly the most qualified and the strongest record, Shin would be far superior to Pekarsky who has an extremely brief and pretty poor record of public service.

Visited her website. She appears to have no relevant experience or qualifications to be in Congress. Very strange that she entered the race.

Don Beyer endorsed James Walkinshaw today. Beyer has been an effective spokesperson for those in the 8th District. It’s just one more indication that people know they can work with Walkinshaw, whereas Pekarsky is just full of hot air.

It’s unfortunate that some of the most ineffective School Board members in recent history are now in the state legislature but they absolutely shouldn’t be getting elected to Congress.

I’m disappointed with the field. Walkinshaw is nothing more than a career politician who will do little except ride Connolly’s posthumous coattails. Pekarsky embodies the worst of northern Virginia Democrats (pro-casino and mucking up FCPS finances for starters). I’ll probably cast my vote for Roma.

Received a very large, expensive flyer today. Qualifications: helped get 500 people (specifically mentioned women) out of Afghanistan after withdrawal--I think after.
Raised funds for Covid supplies during pandemic.

She is attractive, but not much about what she will do except fight Trump.
