Has anyone gotten a whole house fragrance system?

OP asked a simple question. If I had one of those systems, I’d gladly answer. Having visited someone’s home who had one, I enjoyed the subtle scent. And, as a migraine sufferer, I had NO ill effect whatsoever.

People need to relax.

This is terrible for your lungs and brain, OP. Not to mention any allergy sufferers that may visit your home.

None of those things claiming to make your house smell better actually do this - they cover up fresh air with a chemical smell. If you keep your house clean, open the windows on gorgeous days like today, it'll smell great!

I also cannot stay in places with scented stuff.

You don’t stay at hotels? Every high end hotel I’ve ever been to has a fragrance system. Yes, even the Four Seasons. My favorite one was the Grand Floridian though. I still would love my home to smell like that.

You can get them online. A good one for a large business is about 10k, last I checked. Home ones run 500+

I also love fancy hotel smells. OP I totally get the interest in it.

If I'm paying $500 a night for a fancy 5 star hotel, it had better not smell like anything or I'm walking out.

Bougiest sh!t I ever heard of.

Try having some potted plants and opening your windows. Use the bathroom fan when you go #2. Use the kitchen vent fan when you cook.

And I'm sure they won't care if you do.

Oh, and $500 does not get you "fancy 5 star" anyway...

Some of the nicest ones in the country are about that amount. Stayed at one of the only 5 star rated hotels in the country, not a motel deary, for $550 recently on a trip.
Perhaps you are overpaying because you don't know any better and using places that have some yelp rating system?

OP I recently ordered a lampe Berger (still waiting for it to arrive). I’ve read if you don’t want to do the scents you can just pour in 91% isopropyl alcohol and light the wick for about 2 min. and it then purifies the air. It has good reviews on Reddit. I did buy a couple of the fragrances to go with it, but plan to use them sparingly. I am also a big fan of house plants and opening windows for a bit every day.

Lol! Try $2000+

I haven't stayed at a $500 hotel and considered it "fancy 5 star" since I was in grad school 20 years ago.

Most people don't just vacation in Nowhereville.. its ok once or twice, but I'd prefer a beach in Maui, Costa Rica, a great hotel in Aspen/vail/breck. None of those places have a 5 star accommodation for 500 or less. None. Oh, and I haven't even got to Europe. We've stayed in some great places there.

She's probably thinking "country" like Iowa 200 miles outside Des Moines, gingham table cloths and everything.

Because those are tourist traps for the rubes with more money than brains.

If you are booking online also, you are a rube. I only reserve rooms at hotels where I know the manager or staff insider. Better rates.
The posted rates are always for regular public.
