They would not be good enough because the club doesn’t develop them and they no longer can rely on size? Not sure what your point is. There are starters that lose their spots but a lot of that is due to the players willingness to put in the work to stay competitive |

Take any U13, U14 team from here to Germany, Belgium, Holland, England and I'm willing to gamble big we would be the 'small' team
We will edge them on physicality because that's our culture. But they will have better technical skills and IQ and game understanding |
Again you clearly know nothing about teen boys. |
Isn't all of youth soccer supposed to be about development? |
What are the steps the team should take to develop the early size bloomer players? |
| Reading this forum was 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back.... |
Play them up if they have the technical skills. We’ve all watched enough youth soccer and can tell between a big kid with no skills and big kids with skills. The big kids with skills need to be forced to use their technical skills in game play, not default to their size because it’s the easy move and will same for easy wins. |

The original post has to be a joke....
What's next? Cap on the skill level too? Don't let better teams play because they might win? Have all games end in a tie so no one's feelings are hurt? |
Typical response of the soccer parent who thinks winning equals development. |
| Duh; the rules should be whatever gives OPs little munchkin an advantage. |
My kid is big and plays up so you can’t tell he plays up try again. Two teams, both equally skilled technically, one team average sized, the other team averages a head taller. If the goal is development, which team does not get developed in this matchup? Soooo much potential for those players, just being held back by coaches and parents. |
Lol |

I have an undersized DC and I find this whole suggestion to be ridiculous.
What if, for arguments sake, someone posted there should be a minimum height/weight for the higher tier teams? People would lose their minds. |
Teama don't develop. Individual players do |
I believe that was the joke being made with the Kings Dominion reference in the first reply. |
