Cap on size

Controversial thought maybe but there
should be caps on size of players at U13 and U14 at MLSNext.

Size of rosters?

Maybe there should be size minimums, like at Kings Dominion. The ref can bring a measuring stick and "You must be this tall" to play.

I’m not opposed to that either. 😜

Caps on physical size or limits on how many oversized players there can be.

Here come the replies from all the parents of very small boys, complaining about how their highly skilled kids are getting out-played by giant galoots who can't do fancy footwork with their giant size 12 boats and unfairly beat their little guys to the ball with their too-long legs or take it from them with their unfair strength.

Compared to other sports soccer is by far the most organized and vigilant about having the correct age kids play on the correct age teams.

You should see the nonsense that goes on in AAU basketball or baseball. Its rare to play a team with all kids who are the correct age.

If they are the correct birth year, then they are not oversized or undersized.

I really don't see your point.

Not talking about little guys. It’s a team that’s full of players a head taller than average sized players. Guys who do have skills but not testing them out on players their own size.

Don’t the kids want to get better? How are they getting better?

Then you don’t care or know about soccer development.

I think the OP is talking about SYC and other teams in MLSNext that field teams that average about a head taller than the other team.

This is nonsense. Soccer is organized by birth year. If a kid is a 2012, he is playing on the correct team whether he is 4'0 or 6'0. Height is not really an advantage in soccer. Puberty is.
