New York state shutting down free trade

This is a very stupid plan. Even if we don't care about the country and about the moral high ground, is it really smart to contribute additional ideas to the marketplace of antidemocratic tactics intended to punish political opponents?

Democrats are out of power for the next four years. Does anyone really think Republicans won't respond by targeting a key Democratic donor or even an entire class of Democratic donors the exact same way?

The biggest problem this country has is that we have two cultish, power hungry parties that do not care about the country. I'm not surprised the moronic Democrats who run New York, who are second only to the numbskulls of California, are behind this.

Hey everybody, Neville is here to tell us how Hitler is misunderstood. Please, spare us that terrible sniveling.

Leon had the chance to be a good person, but he chose to be evil. Telsa had the opportunity to ditch Leon, but they chose to be complicit. Leon and company choose to make decision after decision helping to destroy this country.

Nationally, internationally, everyone should be icing out this welfare queen company. People should be contacting their pension funds and investment fund managers asking them to divest from this awful meme stock.

So Tesla is the only company with a waiver right now? And they want to eliminate the waiver? Fine. That seems fair enough.

What would be better is to eliminate for all car companies the requirement to work with dealerships.

But as long as they've got that law, I see no reason why Tesla should get an advantage.

The administration he helped put in place is helping tank the economy in New York and everywhere else and making us all poorer. If that's what you want to do then you don't get any special exceptions. Sorry.

How does piling on consumers in the middle of a poor economy and tariffs help anything?

Elon musk should be disadvantaged the way he disadvantaged all of us in this country.

Let's try to get rid of the forces destroying the economy.

Sure. But Tesla (the company) has not disadvantaged this country.

I agree. Tesla is not preventing any other company from eliminating dealerships and how will preventing the model help?

I guess we've got a "both sides" situation. What other companies will NY state restrict from doing business (for purely political reasons)? This isn't the right way to play. Innovative business models to save money are not welcome in NY state.

Texas does it. Texas has done everything in its power to stop tesla sales for years. Also Trump totally restricting free markets. Trump and maga are socialist!

Tesla does not deserve a special exemption just because the economy is crashing.

The president has literally shut down free trade. What is your point?

Yes, the president has shut down free trade with OTHER NATIONS. The governor of NY wants to shut down free trade within our country. Shutting down free trade is bad either way.

The point is that the Democratic governor of NY is shutting out an American company for exactly the same reason that a Republican president is shutting out products from foreign companies. Spite and vengeance. That's why we have a "both sides" situation. They are both doing the same thing.

It's pretty ironic given that Tesla has a huge factory near Austin.
