Because due largely to stratospheric tuition costs thanks to student loans being handed out like frozen water bottles at a protest, colleges in the UK are often cheaper than US schools. A coworker sent her daughter to St Andrew’s for this very reason - because it was a literal fraction of the cost of GW or American, and she didn’t want her saddled with loans for the next 20 years.

As for those thinking they’ll find some refuge living in the UK? Plan on converting to Islam or brush up on your Sharia Law and get used to paying a very punitive Nonbeliever’s Tax. Because the UK will be an Islamic theocracy within the next 20 years.

British sentiment towards America shifts dramatically with each presidency. The "less than half" statistic has been true several times over the past 20 years. In general, Europeans and the UK don't like us very much- they want us to foot their bills and shut up, not much more.

DP. The TOP BABY NAME for boys in the UK is Muhammad, various spellings included. The PP is right - it's been this way for at least the past decade. That speaks volumes.
