I am happy that the Pope met with JD Vance. He will speak frankly to Vance about the horrific things this administration is doing. This may be the one time, Vance will willingly agree to listen to anyone who criticizes his views.

I will not judge whether Vance is a "good Catholic" or not. But I will say, that besides disobeying the Supreme Court and disregarding our Constitution, JD Vance and the Trump administration are going against so many parts of Catholic teaching that I can't possibly list them. I'll leave it with just this one: Catholic teaching emphasizes the dignity of all human life.

Do you feel the same about Biden, Pelosi, and other Catholic Democrats? They support numerous positions that are against Catholic teachings.

Catholics are allowed to have beliefs that are different from the pope’s. Non-Catholics parachuting in to claim their own version of Catholicism as more correct have obvious issues. trying to turn Catholicism into a battle of purging incorrect though is the issue.

That last sentence is very offensive to good Catholics everywhere. Please stop. While one can hope for better behavior from this person, and we know with God it is possible, he is far from practicing as he should.

Of course not. Everyone has a free will and the capacity to make choices. There doesn't have to be one kind of Catholic or one view.
