The beauty is the only thing that tugs at my heart and reminds me why people long to be part of a community and to be forgiven.

Be grateful for Easter Christians.

Easter is a pagan holiday to celebrate fertility. Christians call it Resurrection Sunday, not Easter.

This. Real Christians don’t call it Easter.

Odd. All of the clergy I've ever met, including the ones in my family, use the term Easter.

I suspect that by Real Christians, pp means people at the church they attend.

Which is, of course, fundamentalist.

I'm an atheist who visits cathedrals all the time because I'm a history major. I recently went to visit Jane Austen at Winchester Cathedral because I love her novels. Then I visited another abbey because I enjoy learning about architecture.

Right - a lot of Episcopalians are already non-believers. No one cares.

Including the Bishop herself. She’s totally secular. Hasn’t read the Bible in decades.

True.

She’s overseen the diocese at a time when the American Episcopal Church has been suspended from the Anglican Communion for all the woke anti-Christian nonsense.

I’m out. Its good to be at a Bible based church again.

What’s your obsession with atheists? Are you a closet atheist?

You sound like you should be smart enough to realize that visiting a cathedral is not the same as attending a service at a cathedral.

It's a stunning piece of architecture and everyone should be able to enjoy it. I went to NCS and am an Atheist. We had to go every week to Cathedral and I was always happy to just sit and look.

Ours does too. As it should be.
The ignorance from some people in here is astounding.

My dad was every year that we went as a family. Why do you ask?

Correct. The PP means the people at the church they attend. They call it "Resurrection Sunday" but it's hard to understand because they say it in tongues.

For whom?

For them. For their families. For society and the world at large.
