The National Cathedral was beautiful, with the sunlight shining through the stain glass and the choir singing ancient music.
I wonder how many people there were atheists. Maybe some people in the choir? in the pews? |
why does it matter? |
There's still hope. https://www.episcopalrenewal.org/ |
Oh please look at the fake christians in congress with their botox and lying for god's sake bowing down to a fake golden calf.... Indoctrination into a cult is not bringing religion back to the US. |
Why do you wonder, OP?
Do you also wonder at the supposed faithful who aren't living up to their religious creed? |
Right - a lot of Episcopalians are already non-believers. No one cares. |
Fewer than on Christmas or Easter.
Ever been to a mass at a major European cathedral on those days? There’s the congregation there for the actual service and lots of tourists roaming the aisles. |
OP, what a weird thing for you to post
And think about |
Guess it's pretty common. Maybe like seeing a fat person and wondering if they overeat. |
My Episcopal priest makes a point of acknowledging that not everyone in the pews shares the same belief, but welcomes them all. "I'm glad you're here."
|
Including the Bishop herself. She’s totally secular. Hasn’t read the Bible in decades. |
So true. |
A lot of the musicians are non religious. Easter and Christmas are the busy season for musicians. If you want a perform of Handel, they're going to hire a tenor who can sing the role. |
You think you're just going for the beauty...but that's how God gets ya. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow...but the seed is there. |
The beauty is the only thing that tugs at my heart and reminds me why people long to be part of a community and to be forgiven. Be grateful for Easter Christians. |
