Love the show, still one of my very favorite finales. It broke my heart when I watched it the first time around. |
"You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone." |
I watched a lot of this show but never the finale and now I have to go and watch it |
Oh you really do have to watch the finale!!! Then come and report back here!! |
+1 |
I had heard the show recommended but for some reason thought it was a comedy, confusing it with Pushing Daisies. So I put it off. After the recent deaths of some family members, I started it and binged the whole thing. It was so cathartic and the finale absolutely brilliant. |
The finale is one of the best in TV history IMO. Not as good as M*A*S*H and a few others, but up there. |
I binged it all in 2007 one dvd at a time with a month of unlimited rentals from Hollywood Video. It took a lot of late nights on work nights and I went into the office every morning feeling inexplicably emotional.
I can’t believe the show is so old now. Time to rewatch. |
Amazing show! |
I miss that show! Good memories. |
We just watched this show last year and loved it. It was original, darkly funny and relatable in so many ways. Also ground breaking in the way it depicted mental health plus end of life emotions/ practical issues. We really missed it when we finished.
So many shows that deal with death are either true crime or thrillers - not dealing with the more mundane, often random, and deeply human aspects of dying and grieving. |
Five seasons in five years, how the world has changed in 20 years. Now we're waiting 3+ years for shows like Stranger Things to return. |
Ruth's second husband freaked me out because he looks like my psychiatrist. Without the beard. He still does. I think they are the same age. He has been my doctor for 22 years. |
