Best finale/final scenes of a series ever, in my opinion. I don't know what made me look this up today, but the first death in that finale, the mom, Ruth O'Connor Fisher, was this year.

Agree, best series finale ever! |
I loved that show. |
Agree. |
People rately talk about the show outside of the finale. What exactly was so good about it? I watched the first season and found it boring. I liked that they featured a prominent gay relationship though. |
The finale was a m a z i n g because the show was about a funeral home, and every episode started by showing how the person featured in the funeral parlor that episode had died. Then, at the very end of the finale, they went through every major character and showed how *they* died. It was a perfect match between tying up all the threads of each character's stories and the juice of the series itself, which was the funeral home. *chef's kiss* A++ |
I though it was a great show. Not just a great finale. |
Which is why the ending was so awesome. If the whole show wasn’t so great the ending wouldn’t have mattered. |
It was a great show and a great ending. |
I binged the entire series during an illness last year and it just blew me away. Best show ever made IMO |
Great show ending especially compared to This is Us which had a very disappointing ending. Almost all episodes had a twist at the end. This is Us ending did not and quite boring and stupid. |
I disagree. The best series finale ever was Newhart. |
We loved all the seasons not just the finale. It was brilliant, funny, human and they kept it real. So many interesting characters and they dealt with mental health stuff way before it became common |
NARM! ![]() ![]() Seriously tho... great show! |
Thanks for the post! Just noting that the actress who played Ruth Fisher — Frances Conroy — has outlived her character, yay! She’s 72 years old now. |
