I had breakfast at Founding Farmers.

Founding Farmers is terrible. It used to be sort of worth it for the view, but any other location makes no sense at all.

I agree. I have kept forgetting how bad it is and have kept going back. I won't do it again. Would rather eat at silver diner.

It's crappier than Silver Diner! And that is a low crap bar *snickers* My Inlaws thought Silver Diner was super classy. So glad those days are in the past.

I don't know of any statistics on what % of DMV households have some income dependent on the federal government (fed, contractor, etc.) but it has got to be high. Four of the five houses on my cul de sac have at least one person whose job depends on the federal government (DOD, DOJ, NOAA), and mine has two. And everyone is terrified.

There are lots of people here that don’t have a fed dependent job.

Nobody around here has a job that isn’t fed dependent to some degree.

Whatever you do don’t have brunch there. It’s a joke.

Silver diner is fine. In fact, it’s more than fine for a diner.

Do they just defrost frozen food and serve it?

Yes. The majority of chain and even local restaurants do this now, probably since the . Very rarely is the food actually prepared and plated under the same roof. This has been more common in chain kitchens pre-covid and then boomed during and post covid.

At least fast food is cooked at the restaurant for most part.
Correct?

I don't think Silver Diner is "super classy," but it's consistently decent for what it is.

If you want overpriced, horrible diner food, try the Carnegie Diner in Vienna. Truly vile, and trying to capitalize on folks who don't know the difference between the late Carnegie Deli in NYC and the Carnegie Diner.

I love their cucumber, melon drink.

You’re the one who seems over-dramatic.

No. They don't. DP

Yes, yes she does.

+1. What's with shading Silver Diner? I've been to several locations and have never received cold food. Not only was the food the proper temperature, but it was quite tasty every time.

I wouldn’t ever call Silver Diner “classy,” but I actually like it a lot.

There aren't enough options in this area.
