| It’s gross. One of the few places I’ve had cold food served to me. Maybe the only one. |
That drink is delicious!! |
You’re the one who seems over-dramatic. |
Because it is near my fried house. |
I’d rather go to a fried house than Founding Farmers.

| Surprised there are so many people eating out at overpriced restaurants. Spouse and I work for federal contractors and feel our jobs are in jeopardy. I don't know of any statistics on what % of DMV households have some income dependent on the federal government (fed, contractor, etc.) but it has got to be high. Four of the five houses on my cul de sac have at least one person whose job depends on the federal government (DOD, DOJ, NOAA), and mine has two. And everyone is terrified. |
Do they just defrost frozen food and serve it? |
Yes. The majority of chain and even local restaurants do this now, probably since the . Very rarely is the food actually prepared and plated under the same roof. This has been more common in chain kitchens pre-covid and then boomed during and post covid. |
Not all of us on this forum are feds or contractors. I have been a SAHM for 30 years and my husband has worked in other fields than gov/contracting that span 4 different countries. |
There are lots of people here that don’t have a fed dependent job. |
No. They don't. DP |
Better a fried house than that fried Jefferson donut thing. |
Stop being dramatic and attention-seeking. DH and I are both DOJ, and although concerned about many things, including whether or not we will still have jobs next week, we can go to a place like Founding Farmers for a meal without shaking with terror. |
Met a friend there last Friday for early breakfast and it was disgusting. So bad (pan egg scrambler) that I could not eat it. It was dry, flavorless and I crunched something that may have been shell. The waitstaff asked if I wanted to take a to go box and told her it was inedible. Shortly later a manager came and apologized. |
PP again. This was at Park Potomac. |
