Free people - ladies I'm 58 and their stuff is pretty baggy so...I don't see any teens wearing this stuff.
Nordstrom for nicer wear.
Von Maur (I'm in the midwest)
I'm about ready to retire so the pickleball outfit is my top look for.

Teens love baggy clothes. I always see teens shopping at Free People.

I wear a wardrobe centered in great jeans and cashmere in fall/ winter - dresses and long skirts (I prefer silk maxi with a tshirt or tank) in spring/summer. A good camel coat, black coat, leather jacket, suede jacket, two trench coats.

I’ll note all is helped by being slim and in shape

Thanks so much for this.

Those of us who need to lose weight truly had no idea, and appreciate the help.

Baggy is exactly what the teens are wearing.

Anthropologie works for me. But you definitely have to mix it with other brands. J. Crew and Banana Republic can fill some gaps as well.

+1. I have 2 teen daughters and yes to the baggy clothes and Free People.

I’m guessing PP doesn’t actually know any teens.

I do think most of the Talbots stuff is aimed at 70 year olds but I will also say when I needed new dress pants they were the only place I could find decently tailored dress pants for under $200. I got these and they are super flattering and look good with all sorts of jackets and tops. They were much better quality than the BR stuff I ordered.

Totally agree. And BR is using fabrics that need to be babied. Add the cost of dry cleaning to that synthetic pair of pants or dress.

I also find things at Talbots, but you have to be picky and scrutinize the descriptions, material details, and pictures. I also read the comments--good on Talbots for keeping up the critical ones.

Even so, I do return a high percentage of what I order.

They can be good on basics. And I appreciate that their jean jackets have two inside pockets (not in the description).

Talbots for basics and Tuckernuck because I’m having a dress moment.

Target and Old Navy are fine for basics. I'm not going to spend gobs of money on a basic t-shirt or leggings. Nope.

Old navy is lthe plastic bags of clothing. You wear it once and have to toss it. It’s like paper thin and can’t be washed.

Target is completely overpriced for what it is. Everything costs $30 and Id rather spend $50 at Nordstrom/Anthro.

Anthro and Nordstrom are humongous and it takes a lot of digging to find what fits me at a fairly reasonable price. But I keep what I find that I like — usually for several years.

Talbots and Ann Taylor for work pants and sometimes a plain white knit top or something I need to replace often. Both are pretty ugh, and their non sale stuff is just a rip off.

I like Title 9 and Marine Layer as well.

Tuckernuck sometimes, although it also takes a lot trying on and I end up returning a lot. Which is fine. A lot of brand overlap with Nordstrom, so frequently I’ll buy from Nordstrom since they are so good about price matching.

I’ll add bloomies but honestly so much overlap with Nordstrom that i just get tired and land at Nordstroms.

It’s basically hard to get me out of Nordstroms.

I’m 53. My go-to stores are JC Penney and Kohl’s. For casual, I tend to shop at Walmart.

"Slacks." Exactly to be expected from Talbot's.
