As a parent I'm automatically quasi disgusted with anyone who works for mcps before we even begin a conversation. I've found over the years that everyone who works here knows they're doing a worse job for the kids than they could. You'd never catch me screwing over children for a job when other jobs exist.

This. Especially the folks with advanced degrees - speech paths, lawyers, psychologists. Shame.

Oh, stop with this silly trolling. It’s eye-rolling ridiculous.

There are good, well-intentioned people providing value every day. And you know it. So stop putting good people down just to make yourself feel better.

Things are cruddy enough right now that you don’t need to contribute to it.

+100. Sure teachers maybe went to school to teach and feel they can't do anything about it. But the admins and others? No excuse.

Yep. And this isn't an isolated example.
A comment below yours mentions racism. The demographics show who the push- everyone through, no one fails policy harms the most. The institutionalized racism is coming from inside the house.

Get out immediately. I did 4 years ago and haven't looked back. I wemt through Carney Sandoe for hiring and got a job at an area private. It's amazing, OP. I only wish I had done it sooner.

That poll adds weight to if there are women on the board and diversity. That is two fat thumbs on the scale at mcps

Bad faith rumors and innuendo.
If you have a specific concern, state it.

Geez, I just filled out a job application yesterday and their was a question: Have you ever resigned or got fired please explain- ok here goes- this is what I put on the application- I worked for MCPS and in these schools there was an abnormal amount of gang violence. Teachers feared for their safety and safety for students while admin wanted teachers to not report the violence. Year after year admin forced teachers to resign and the cuts went to the ones who did not have tenure yet.
