I don't think you know the meaning of that word. Good luck when the next ancient bridge falls down in your city.

We don’t have kids (and won’t be, in light of the current economy) and my husband’s stable job is here, but i also am so depressed and wish I could leave. We also just bought a house.

Why would you hold off having kids.

That doesn't make sense, especially if you are looking at a situation where one patent might be home for a few years.

Do you have kids? Responsible people do not want to bring children into an unstable chaotic world.

The tech companies have been doing this for about 9 months with quiet layoffs and RTO's. Its just been ignored as it impacts less people. This will impact those on contracts and those on overhead.

How do you not understand that you voted in the grifters, who have now fired all the people responsible for transparency and fighting against fraud, waste and abuse on behalf of tax payers. You vote to create a swamp.

Those contracts are not always awarded the best and cheapest Most are over priced and underqualified

I sold business for a few years. Between the DEI, favoritism, crazy rules, how long proposal process took I just would rather avoid them. Let the niche firms deal with the headaches

So you want the future word to be populated with irresponsible people?

Kids are expensive. And having them grow up in a facsist regime…no thanks.

You don't want them badly enough then. Not having kids was not an option for us.

Sucessful contractors are the ones who write well in standard English as their first language. Maybe that was your problem.

If by grift you mean a functioning democracy with rule of law, then yes. It is over.
