‘Zat ‘nuff is the evidence? lmao. |
There is no consensus on where the originator(s) of the Moses story understood the parting of waters to be. Likely someplace marshy, but not narrowed down to a specific body of water. The location is unknowable.
Can someone clarify what this recent scientific discovery has to do with the biblical story? What evidence do people think is there? |
Moses didn’t part the Red Sea. God did. |

Oh look, ad hominem from the guy with no facts on his side. |
No. All of geology and all of physics - and the hundreds of years of peer reviewed research done by scientists without finding ANY evidence of this event or any of the other supernatural events in the Bible - that’s the evidence. You funny. |
You never saw anyone rise from the dead? Rise into heaven? Been swallowed by a whale and lived to tell about it. Heard a donkey talk? Just read the Bible. it's all there. and you better believe it, or you're going to hell. For eternity. |
Scientific method limitations: Science relies on observation and experimentation to test hypotheses, and a supernatural being like God cannot be directly observed or experimented upon in a scientific setting. God involve concepts like omnipotence, omniscience, and transcendence, which are not readily measurable or verifiable through scientific means. Scientists don't try to prove or disprove God's existence because they know there isn't an experiment that can ever detect God. Science does not disprove the supernatural because, by definition, the supernatural falls outside the realm of what science can study or test; as science is limited to explaining natural phenomena through natural processes, it cannot address concepts considered "supernatural" which are beyond the scope of natural laws. The above has been explained to you, and all posters, who continue to post about science and technology proving or disproving God’s existence and proving or disproving supernatural phenomena. Science cannot do so. Scientists do not try to prove or disprove God or the supernatural through science because science does not have the capacity or tools to prove or disprove God or supernatural phenomena. It’s a very simple concept you refuse to grasp. Why are you unable to retain this basic knowledge? Neither you nor I are “funny.” You persist in denial, delusion, and willful ignorance. |
If you don’t believe God exists and don’t believe the Bible, how are you going to hell? |
Hey strawman, we're talking about this Red Sea topic, not merely the existence of god. And the scientific method you talk about is completely applicable - in fact that is what the article is about! You can't gish-gallop your way out of this one! Fail! |
The only failure here is the failure of people to refuse to learn and retain simple concepts and truths. Science cannot prove or disprove God or supernatural phenomena. No one is forced to believe in God. If you don’t believe in God, great. Nobody cares. On the flip side: when people do believe in God, atheists and anti-theists care very deeply. They have no tolerance for Christians and act daily as if the personal religious beliefs of Christians are unacceptable and harmful. We live in a country built on and renowned for religious and personal freedoms. Atheists and anti-theists deeply dislike the religious freedom America is world famous for having and protecting. Atheists and anti-theists are the most hypocritical and dishonest people posting in the forum. Literally no one cares about their choice to not be religious, yet they spend day after day complaining about the choices of religious people and attacking their religion. It’s embarrassing for them, but they don’t seem to have the emotional intelligence to understand. |
Whine whine whine whine whine. It’s not an attractive look, for you or anyone. How about addressing the topic of the thread? |
