Somehow the GOP managed to convince its base that the biggest issue facing them is men in women’s sports or bathrooms and not the 100 other problems we have, starting with the cost of groceries, rent, and other necessities.

It is so weird how desperate progressive left Democrats are to keep losing. You are so very, very out of touch.

You know what has never worked in the history of getting voters? Telling them that things they care about don’t matter, and that you know what issues you should care about better than they do. Guess what, this issue is something voters care about. Polling shows that, the last election shows that, and even more, it’s growing in favor of Republicans.

I actually agree with you that this is a less important issue than others and I can also tell you that is absolutely irrelevant to political reality and where we are now.

I’m the PP you’re responding to. I literally could not care less about the trans issue. I was just shocked by the WAY he spoke to a governor. He actually initiated the exchange by calling on her, not the other way around, and he sounded like a bully and a thug. I’m just appalled by the low-class and completely undignified way he talks.

There is a dude in our area legally going into women’s locker rooms, a registered sex offender, undressing in front of moms with their daughters because he identifies as a woman. I’m a Dem and this is exactly my dead last issue. Though I have at least 8 friends with trans kids and I think they deserve protections. But, we need people to stand up to the felon. She did. Period. The end.
