• American: 3 to 5 inches (forecast 24 hours ago: 10 to 12 inches).
• European: 2 to 4 inches (24 hours ago: 9 to 11 inches).
• German: Coating to 2 inches (24 hours ago: 12 to 16 inches).
• UKMet: Coating to 2 inches (24 hours ago: 10 to 12 inches).
• Canadian: Coating to 1 inch (24 hours ago: 4 to 6 inches).

I'll order the Canadian version please.

latest models showing we will probably get less than in inch in moco (update with model posted by moco snow). Can we stop with posting about these hypothetical storms so many days in advance?

I get that not everybody enjoys following snow predictions for a week in advance, but some of us weather nerds actually enjoy it!

Thanks to Jeff for the “Environment, Weather, and Green Living” forum where we can do so together absent the hand wringing over school closure.

There’s a very slim chance (10%) high outcomes last I checked but it doesn’t look good.

According to capital Weather :

“ Snow potential index — 6/10 (→): We still gently lean toward some accumulating snow Wednesday-Thursday, but the chance of a big storm has tanked.”

No. The change is that it continues moving to the east. It will not move back west where we are.

But they posted that before the latest euro came out. Trending to light accumulation if any.

Update-

Programming note: The potential Wed-Thurs snow event continues to trend south of the DC area and snow prospects keep shrinking. We'll assess the latest and update again this afternoon.

It’s a Weather modeling discussion, not a forecast. If you don’t understand that, perhaps stick to your weather app. Weather modeling is important for people with farms, transportation companies, etc. who have logistical issues they need to prepare for it with major storm.
