Just prescribed Zepbound: tell me everything

11 pounds in 4 weeks, that can be done with diet alone, without meds . Speaking to my doctor friends, Er visits are up with gastric issues for all these meds. Be safe , good luck.

Supplement with fiber gummies and probiotics. Eat 100 grams of protein daily in small meals every 2-3 hrs. Sleep well and workout daily… and move up slowly!! Don’t move up unless you have had a weight loss stall!! If you’re still losing don’t dose up

If they did this daily, then they would not need to take the drug.

did someone summon you here?

go away.

Yeah, it can, IF you can stick to the diet. I tried for years and couldn't. My cravings and hunger were stronger than my will to diet. Zep eliminated the hunger and cravings so you can eat the way you're supposed to. No major gastric issues for me 6 weeks in. I've stayed on the lowest dose and it's working for me. I feel better than I have in years.

You're on it for life, right?

You may never have to move up in dose!! Don’t listen to their schedule. I did it via the compounding medication tirzepatide available through a local doctor and I moved up from 2.5 to 3 and 3.5. I did each one after eight weeks or so and lost around 1.5 pounds a week. You do not have to move up to five and 7.5 and all those things unless you really want to. It’s most effective if you stay at a low dose. I had almost no side effects, but I was always really careful: I consumed daily psyllium pills and fiber Gummies, I used these amazing electrolytes that I loved called Ultima, supplemented with protein powder if I needed to, and I rested well and took care of myself. Although I love drinking, The compound naturally took away my interest in it, and that also helped me lose weight. Now I can enjoy a glass or two a week or less if I feel like it. Just listen to your body and don’t despair no matter what happens. Go to the Reddit group that people recommended above like tirzepatide compound and others and ask questions!!! Support from real life users is key!!! Once you reach goal weight you taper down slightly and find your maintenance dose. Good luck!

How much did you pay the local doctor for the compound tirzepitide?

I paid $360 for what turned out to be an 8 week supply. I stayed at a very low dose, which made it more economical. She was also my primary health provider so there were no additional charges as there are at weight loss clinics. For $180 a month I lost 40 lbs and am in the best shape of my life. I am happy, love getting dressed, and feel amazing. It took me 6 months and was worth every penny. Also hit the gym 3x weekly, walked daily, overhauled my eating. Leaving no stone unturned!!

I had nausea and some headaches. Boiron nausea pellets and Gravol Ginger helped a lot and some Tylenol and heating pads on my head.

I'm at 11 months now and occasionally feel nauseous but I carry the Boiron pellets in every purse and pocket and they work pretty well.

$360 for 8 weeks is REALLY inexpensive!!!

Would you be able to post a link for these Boiron pellets? I looked and there are so many choices and varieties that I'm confused and having decision paralysis. Thanks.

Maybe if you’re grossly overweight. That’s nearly three pounds a month and isn’t doable with diet for most people.

I've been on a low dose for a week and have been pairing it with weights, cardio, and just walking. I don't feel hungry, and I'm able to treat food like fuel, and it is amazing. This is the first time in my 50-plus years where I don't feel like I'm sabotaging my own efforts to make diet changes.

I'm not craving salty or sweet foods, so I've dropped some bloat weight—3.5 lbs so far.
It is encouraging to see the scale move and I am excited to keep it up vs all of the years when this stage feels more like punishment.

I appreciate everyone who has shared their bad experiences. Those anecdotes need to be considered for anyone considering taking a drug. For everyone who is just saying you should eat less and move more, sure. This is a tool to help people execute that simple but not so easy plan.

I am two weeks in to the starter dose and have to stop. About 24 hours after the first shot, I had about 2 days of random diarrhea and gross burps, but it was manageable. After the second shot, I lost half my week to extreme abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and fatigue. Yes, I changed my diet and amount of food I ate and still had the side effects. Yes, I have 100 lbs to lose until I'm "just" overweight, and have prediabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and sleep apnea.

The worst part is, the days where I wasn't feeling awful, I really was feeling amazing. I ate less and was still full, and didn't even crave dessert like I normally do.

Doctor just said to stop taking it, so I guess the miracle cure isn't going to work for me.

I'm a little devastated. I really wanted it to work.

NP. Boiron’s blended remedies (versus individual remedies) are usually a good option, to start:

NauseaCalm

Thank you, this was exactly the specific guidance I needed.

On it a week and lost 3lbs of bloat. Amazing to make rational, non-desperate, non-impulsive food choices. No hunger at all.

The thing I love about it is that with many of my cravings gone (not all), I'm able to make much healthier, long-term choices about my food intake. I'm eating lots of oatmeal with fruit, veggie wraps with tofu, drinking tons of ice water, it just helps quiet my demons so I can make rational choices. I'm forever thankful.
