Do we know if they really did? I remember news items about suspicious large registrations from Lancaster County but never knew the outcome and whether those were legitimate registrations. |
Agreed. This cannot be correct |
Lunch with my brother and nephew (my sister's son) today.
My brother said he voted for Trump because there was no other choice. I reminded him there were at least two parties on the ballot, although he did say people he talked to said she didn't seem to know anything or have any plans. I was pitching for her and also realize the situation was a bad deal for her (I don't know who she would have been as a candidate in a different situation, but I do think she had a lot of strengths in her background) but I do realize "nothing comes to mind" was a very very bad campaign line. None of this excuses the electorate as a whole, though. |
Never say never. https://www.newsweek.com/2024-election-rigged-donald-trump-elon-musk-2019482 |
I third this. Both the first time and this time. Rigged. |
Meh, no. Rigged by Elon is far, far more likely. |
Call me crazy but I think the 2024 election results were a result of one party having backed their crappy nominee for 3.5 years and the other party having an unfit and unpopular incumbent back out of his bid for a second term a month before the party's primary. The party that has to replace their unpopular incumbent 3 months prior to election day is losing every, every, every, every, every time even against an opponent as weak as Trump. Blame unicorns, blame voting machines, blame Santa Claus...... the truth is much simpler. |
After getting Elon out of the Treasury and government, the second most important thing we can do is work with groups promoting fair elections. It’s the only way we’ll get out of this mess. Do not ever vote on a machine again. Always vote on paper. We need automatic randomized recounts against paper ballots. Results need to be posted in public. |
I just can't stop thinking about him swaying to music at one of his events where he stopped audience questions--remember that? While you could point to senility, that seems like something you would do if you weren't even worried about how many votes you would get. It stands out bec it is truly odd. |
There were compilations of him saying at several rallies “we don’t need any more votes.” |
So, you’re election deniers? |
My boys did not have the same experience. None of their friends of any race or origin voted for Trump; even in red states. |
Saw that coming. Part of the plan; make it not OK to question. |
OMG - do you know how ridiculous you sound? You have absolutely no idea how your kids - much less any of their friends voted. You think you know, but you have no clue. ![]() DP |
Well, it certainly wasn’t ok to question in 2020, was it? |
