Teen refuses to talk about schedule and then yells when no one can drive

Coaches shold not be directly communicating with kids. Its against the rles.

If my kid wants to do anything/go anywhere outside normal stuff, they ask us first. They cannot just go where they want when they want.

Switch your approach.

In our house, especially at dinner when mostly everyone is home and listening, I go over the next days schedule of who is where and when ("Remnder, I have that boring dinner mtg tomorrow night so it'll be almost 9 when I get home and Dad is at basketball practice with Joe until 630. Dinner is leftovers in the refrig, ok").

Announce and remind upcoming far-out stuff too ("Dad wants to leave earlier to see Grandma next Saturday so definitely pack by Friday night? And plan on breakfast in the car").
