What made you 'break up' with a restaurant?

1. A bolt in my palak paneer.

2. A bundle of wire in my noodles.

3. A dazed mouse in the dining room, picked up in a napkin by a staffer who reassured everyone that the mouse was already poisoned.

4. When the restaurant decided I could run my own credit card for their convenience. If they can’t even every themselves to get paid, what’s the use?

5. Switching to a newly opened checkout line after waiting far too long, only to be told that that line was only for a newly arrived group.

This attitude is why America is on GLP-1s.

Smaller portions are fine and needed. More money for a smaller portion is a turnoff.

They couldn’t accommodate my mom who uses a rollator mobility aide. They said we would have to put it in the car. I told them that she needed it to be able to go to the bathroom and they suggested DH carry her there!

The next day, they had a fire that closed them for a long time.

When they change the recipe. Sweetgreen's Harvest Bowl used to be so good. What happened?

A crepe place we used to enjoy jacked up the prices and added a 10% restaurant charge that was not gratuity. I gave them a pass during the pandemic, but not when they kept the extra charge long after the pandemic. I learned how to make crepes at home and now they are in our rotation.

Wait staff that push alcohol too hard. One Tuesday night recently, our waitress kept pushing hard for us to order wine. We didn't, but she was so annoying and inappropriate, and then I got in an accident on the way home. Not my fault, but I was even angrier at her.

Noise. Too loud to hear and converse.

My vegetarian pad thai leftovers had a chicken bone sitting on top when I opened it. I took it back to the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager- no manager on duty. I reported them to the board of health and they closed a few months later.

As a way to offset rising costs, we have added a 3.5% surcharge to all checks. You may request to have this taken off your check should you choose.

Au revoir, Mon Ami Gabi.
