It is 3:50am and I am WIDE AWAKE

I put on a meditation app and meditate.

Or I look up a meditation on YouTube

This is me just about every day. I do fall asleep around 9pm though. morning news comes on at 4am. I watch news, check my emails, texts, Social Media, collect my thoughts until about 5:30am. Go to the bathroom, brush teeth. I do my stretching and mobility. Around 6:30am I go up to the kitchen and start prepping for the kids to wake up for school. With these snow days, I prep breakfast for myself and just start work earlier.

No! My neighbors shoveling at 3:30am is why I was awake. Don’t be rude. Save the shoveling for after 8am

8 am? Congrats if you can sleep until 8, but some of us need to start work, and we want to clear the sidewalk before we sit down.

I did save the shoveling until 7 because that's when weekday construction is allowed to start.

May be a healthcare or other essential worker who has to be at work by 6:30-7 or sooner. Hour + to get car out, get ready, warmed up etc. give them grace

+1 some people don't have the luxury. I have a neighbor whose due date was Sunday. Several of us have been helping them keep their car shoveled out and ready to go in case she goes into labor yesterday or today. Including, yes, taking shifts shoveling them out yesterday morning and last night around 11 after the snow stopped, just in case.

I'm normally very sensitive to loud neighbor noise at odd hours but this wouldn't bother me. It's not like someone using a power drill or a leaf blower in the early morning, or a dog being left to bark for hours. It's someone performing a necessary task that might be very time sensitive.
